JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service provides certain open healthcare services, which means inmates can seek medical care at our healthcare facilities.
As a nurse, you will assess minor ailments and determine which patients should see a doctor or other healthcare professional. This involves working with both somatic and psychiatric healthcare for inmates, assisting at medical consultations, and administering medications (primarily through dose dispensing). Documentation is currently done in the PMO patient journal system.
The healthcare facility offers scheduled appointments with psychologists, general practitioners, psychiatrists, and physiotherapists.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking candidates who have:
• Professional nursing license
• Professional nursing work experience
• Excellent Swedish language skills, both verbal and written
Additional qualifications that are advantageous:
• Relevant professional specialization or further education in areas such as primary care or psychiatry
• Relevant language skills in other languages, such as English
