Licensed Physiotherapist for the Health and Medical Care Unit

The Healthcare Unit is undergoing reorganization and is now expanding its staffing to meet the transition to proximity care. The unit consists of multiprofessional teams where nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nursing assistants work together. Currently, we are 65 employees. Leadership is shared by two unit managers. The assignment encompasses care ranging from home healthcare, rehabilitation, and assistive devices to care for residents in care and nursing homes. This also includes supported living, day activities, service housing, and occasionally care for individuals with personal assistance or support through social psychiatry. We are now seeking 2 physiotherapists. One for regular housing and one for specialized housing. We also have a longer temporary position to offer. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The physiotherapist is responsible for providing safe and secure care based on the municipality's healthcare mandate. Healthcare interventions shall be performed according to current regulations and other governing documents for healthcare. Care should be person-centered and conducted in collaboration with other professionals and stakeholders. Habilitation and rehabilitation are the specific competence of the licensed physiotherapist. Physiotherapy is a knowledge and professional domain that are integrated with each other. The field of physiotherapy is characterized by a holistic view of humans as physical, mental, social, and existential beings in a health perspective. The physiotherapist works with movement as the primary means to promote health and reduce ill-health when human health is limited or threatened by disease and injury, age, and environmental factors. The process is based on current evidence and implemented in interaction with the client, potential relatives, and other professional groups. The physiotherapist is well-versed in the threshold principle and priority order. Work occurs in regular housing, specialized housing, short-term facilities, and day activities.
