The Rehabilitation Unit is responsible for the rehabilitation of patients admitted to municipal healthcare in home care, nursing homes, short-term care units, and day activities within elderly care, disability services, and social psychiatry. JOB DESCRIPTION The role of a physiotherapist within municipal healthcare is independent and involves assessing, planning, organizing, and carrying out rehabilitation efforts, assistive device evaluations, and treatments for the patients you are responsible for. The work is varied, requiring you to be flexible and able to quickly re-prioritize as circumstances change. This may involve assisting with transitions when patients are discharged from the hospital, training mobility, enhancing complex sitting arrangements, reducing pain, and maintaining respiratory function. You, alongside the occupational therapist, are responsible for the patient's rehabilitation process and participate in interdisciplinary teams with occupational therapists, nurses, assistant nurses, care assessors, and unit managers. You also maintain close contact with relatives and serve as an important link between the patient and other healthcare providers. As a physiotherapist, you are responsible for guiding and delegating tasks to care and support staff, acting as a resource for other team members around the patient. Contributing to the organization's improvement efforts is a fundamental part of your job. Solution-focused and non-prestigious collaboration is a significant aspect of your role and a key factor for success in the mission. You need to be able to work with both urgent issues and long-term goals. We work during daytime hours on weekdays. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist who appreciates the breadth and variety within municipal healthcare. Experience in municipal rehabilitation or similar is advantageous. You are a positive person with good communication skills who easily builds relationships with colleagues, patients, and relatives. You are confident, work independently, and take responsibility within the team by collaborating in a solution-focused and unpretentious manner with other professionals. You are flexible and capable of prioritizing when needed. Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. A B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle is a must. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
