Licensed Occupational Therapist for Home Healthcare

The Healthcare Unit is undergoing reorganization and is now expanding its staffing to meet the transition to closer healthcare. The unit consists of multiprofessional teams where nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and assistant nurses work together. Currently, we are 65 employees. Leadership is shared by two unit managers. The assignment encompasses care ranging from home healthcare, rehabilitation, and assistive devices to care for residents in care and nursing homes. This also includes housing with special services, day activities, support housing, and sometimes care for individuals with personal assistance or those receiving support through psychiatric social services. We are now seeking 3 occupational therapists. Two for ordinary housing and one for special housing. We are also seeking a longer-term temporary position. WORK TASKS The occupational therapist is responsible for offering safe and secure care based on the municipality's healthcare mandate. Healthcare interventions shall be performed according to current regulations and other governing documents for healthcare. Care should be person-centered and performed in collaboration with other professionals and stakeholders. The occupational therapist shall, through observation and interview, and using valid, reliable, or well-established assessment and measurement methods, evaluate the patient's activity performance regarding personal care, housing activities, leisure - assess the patient's physical, mental, social, and sensorimotor functions, as well as the environment's impact on the patient's activity capacity. Analyze and summarize the patient's resources and challenges. The occupational therapist is well-versed in the threshold principle and priority order. Work occurs in ordinary housing, special housing, short-term facilities, and day activities. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone who: • Is a licensed occupational therapist with work-related experience • Can work independently and is solution-focused • Takes responsibility for personal development and contributes to development within the organization • Has good ethics and sound values.
