The Children and Youth Mental Health Contact Center in Västerbotten serves as a centralized access point to care for children and adolescents aged 0-17 with mental health issues. We strive for good accessibility and to ensure equitable assessment across the entire region. The services also include evidence-based and equitable treatment for children and youth, as well as their caregivers in Västerbotten.
We are now seeking a psychologist for our evidence-based digital group therapy program for parents at the primary care level in Västerbotten, focusing on the most common reasons for seeking help: worry/anxiety, depression, concentration difficulties, and conflict behavior/aggression.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a psychologist at the Children and Youth Mental Health Contact Center in Västerbotten, you will contribute your knowledge and commitment to help people feel secure. You will primarily work in a team with psychologists, jointly leading digital parent support groups.
You will also partially be involved in receiving and assessing incoming phone calls and referrals for children and adolescents with mild, moderate, and severe mental health issues. This involves providing advice and support as well as assessing needs for care at the appropriate level. Patient interactions will be conducted digitally through virtual care meetings and by phone.
It is important that you develop a close collaboration with primary care units in Västerbotten, as these units schedule patients for the group treatments that you and your team offer. The workplace is located in Umeå, and you will be part of a team performing similar tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed psychologist. Significant importance is placed on prior experience in treatment work, especially group therapies for children and youth with mental health issues within healthcare. Experience with digital care meetings is an advantage.
You are confident in yourself and your professional practice. You excel at working independently while also possessing good collaborative skills. You are proactive and eager to advance the operations, enjoying teamwork. As a person, you are innovative and flexible, finding solutions effectively. You have excellent computer skills, as well as strong proficiency in both spoken and written Swedish. You have a keen sense of service and demonstrate a positive demeanor.
