We are seeking someone who wants to combine clinical patient-focused work in home healthcare with the opportunity to contribute to physiotherapy education!
Your primary role will be in clinical patient work in home healthcare.
In connection with a new physiotherapy program planned to start in Karlshamn in autumn 2026, there is an opportunity to contribute to teaching for a limited time in collaboration with Mälardalen University.

We have a shared care queue, and incoming care needs are managed and prioritized together with rehabilitation colleagues. The work is structured yet flexible. We operate on the principle of equal care regardless of housing form or geographical area, working collaboratively on incoming cases. Cases are handled based on priority, competence, and capacity.
Job Responsibilities
The municipal rehabilitation physiotherapist role includes:
- Clinical patient work in home healthcare, including assessments, prescriptions, and fittings based on rehabilitation and prescription processes.
- Interprofessional collaboration as needed in patient cases with nurses, quality nursing assistants, occupational therapists, unit managers, nursing assistants, and internal case managers. Also with external actors and care providers.
- Professional leadership. We work extensively through care personnel whom you will lead, support, and motivate through your expertise.
In potential teaching assignments, responsibilities include supporting student groups in Karlshamn during distance learning, teaching practical and theoretical physiotherapy modules focusing on rehabilitation, neurology, breathing, and circulation.
Qualifications
- Physiotherapy/physical therapy degree with Swedish professional certification
- Master's degree in a relevant physiotherapy field required
- Excellent Swedish verbal and written communication skills
- Valid B driver's license (manual transmission) as work involves home visits throughout Karlshamn municipality
Preferred experience:
- Professional experience in municipal rehabilitation and other healthcare providers
- Training/specialization in rehabilitation, neurology, breathing/circulation
- Teaching experience in physiotherapy or related fields
