About this role

We want to grow! Gynecology & Fertility Center/Gothenburg IVF Clinic is seeking a licensed midwife or licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training as an operating room or anesthesia nurse, and with a strong interest in gynecology and reproductive medicine. At our clinic in Gothenburg, we provide top-quality care in gynecology and reproductive medicine. We started our operations over six years ago in new premises and continuously expand our services. A year ago, we expanded with a new floor that includes an operating department. You will join a team with extensive knowledge and a strong commitment to patients and the clinic. The work is team-based, and we utilize the latest techniques, equipment, and knowledge. We encourage all employees to contribute ideas for the development of our services. This is an interesting, meaningful job with varied responsibilities, significant accountability, and potential for development. Could this be the job for you? **Responsibilities** As a nurse or midwife with us, you will engage in a diverse and exciting role at the clinic, working in gynecology, assisted reproduction, and in the operating room. The work involves clinical tasks, such as booking patients, taking samples, conducting individual consultations, providing telephone advice, documentation, and assisting in surgical procedures like egg retrieval and insemination, as well as monitoring patients in the recovery department. For those with specialist training as an operating room or anesthesia nurse, work in the operating theater will also be included. You will work in a team with gynecologists, nursing aides/receptionists, midwives, embryologists, psychologists, operating room nurses, and anesthesiologists. You will interact with patients coming to us for fertility investigations and treatments (IVF, insemination, and donation treatments), as well as for general gynecology and benign gynecological surgery. You will also have the opportunity to participate in development projects and research. Your workday will primarily encompass clinical tasks combined with administrative responsibilities, which may expand as you develop clinically and take on future areas of responsibility. These latter duties will be distributed among the clinic's staff based on interest, knowledge, and experience. **Who are we looking for?** We are seeking a licensed midwife or licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training as an operating room or anesthesia nurse, and with a strong interest in gynecology and reproductive medicine, along with several years of experience. Prior experience in gynecological care, surgical operations, and/or assisted reproduction/IVF is a significant advantage, though not a requirement. Personal suitability is highly valued. You need to have excellent communication and collaboration skills and be able to express yourself clearly in Swedish, and preferably in English, both orally and in writing. You should be meticulous and quality-conscious, service-oriented, engaged, computer literate, and maintain a positive attitude. In your work, you should strive to achieve the best possible patient interactions, accessibility, patient safety, and care quality. Being independent in your work and comfortable in your role while enjoying teamwork with various professionals is beneficial. A drive for personal development, taking responsibility, and an enthusiasm for participating in the development of our services are also essential. **Employment details** Commencement: By agreement. Duration: Permanent employment. Work degree: 80% to 100%. Salary: Individually negotiated salary. Fixed monthly salary. Additional information: 6-month probationary period followed by the possibility of permanent employment. **Application** For more information about the position, please feel free to contact Unit Manager Emelie Carlson Diaz at [email protected] or Operations Manager Johanna Schmidt at [email protected]. Send your application, consisting of a cover letter and your CV, as soon as possible (no later than December 17, 2025) to [email protected], marking your application with “Nurse/Midwife”. Interviews will be conducted continuously, even during the application period, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
