Description As we have had a project with the support unit that will continue through 2026, we are now seeking an occupational therapist for the care rehab team as an employee continues with the project. As an occupational therapist in Timrå Municipality, you will be part of our rehab team together with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and rehab assistants/movement instructors. We share premises with home care district nurses and have close collaboration with them. In the municipality, we have a well-developed team approach with care staff, planners, nurses, unit managers, and care managers. Together, we work based on the patient's needs. Work Tasks As an occupational therapist in Timrå Municipality, you will primarily work in patients' own homes, either in ordinary housing or in our care and nursing homes. The work includes assessment of functional and activity capabilities, specific occupational therapy interventions and treatments, and evaluations of patient aid needs. You will guide and train care staff and support them in performing daily rehabilitation. You will prescribe and follow up on certain training and treatment for patients through home care and residential staff. During the summer, we help each other across all municipal operations and areas. Qualifications We are seeking a licensed occupational therapist. You are accustomed to working independently but clearly see the advantages of working in a team with other professional categories. You have a holistic approach to working with people. You are positive, attentive, and empathetic, with interest and commitment to rehabilitation, especially for elderly persons. You have good ability to prioritize and adapt your interventions based on needs and have a flexible, solution-focused approach. As we work in teams, it's important that you share your knowledge and experiences in a pedagogical manner. Experience in municipal elderly care and home rehabilitation is meritorious. You have good computer skills (LifeCare) and experience documenting in digital journals. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. We apply mentorship, which provides a good foundation for integrating into our work. Whether experienced or new, you will be assigned a mentor to guide you into the role. Conditions Licensed Occupational Therapist B driver's license with manual transmission Documentation experience, good oral and written skills in Swedish Position is a fixed-term 100% employment until December 31, 2026, with possibility of extension/permanent employment.
