We strive to find new innovative approaches for healthy and meaningful aging. To support this, we have an innovation center with prominent welfare technology in healthcare and social services. Together, we work to be a district in a safe city for growing up, living, and aging.

Our clients live in Enskede-Årsta-Vantör, Södermalm, and Tyresö. As a respite provider, you relieve the family in their home and support the user. As a companion, you facilitate activities outside the home.
We are looking for individuals who desire a meaningful and varied job; we welcome your application!
We Offer
We offer an inspiring workplace with numerous opportunities, where together we create the best conditions for a sustainable future. The work as a companion or respite provider primarily takes place during evenings and weekends, typically consisting of shorter shifts lasting about 3–4 hours.
Your Role
Are you a responsive and service-oriented person who can work independently and take responsibility? If so, you may thrive in the role of a respite provider and companion.
As a person, you are calm, positive, and possess a good level of personal maturity. Continuity is very important for our clients, which is why we prefer you to view this as a long-term assignment and be diligent about punctuality.
The assignment involves providing the client with the best possible support for a good quality of life and participation in society.
As a companion, you plan and implement measures based on decisions, client needs, and wishes. You provide support to break isolation and create community involvement – for example, by accompanying individuals to recreational activities, work, school, or other social contexts.
As a respite provider, you relieve family members at home by temporarily taking over care and support for a loved one. This may involve providing companionship, assisting during meals, or helping with activities.
The work also entails documenting executed measures and always approaching clients and family members with a professional and respectful demeanor.
Your Competence and Experience
To apply, you must meet the following requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- Good proficiency in Swedish, both written and spoken
- Basic computer skills for documentation in our operational system
- Ideally, you should be a good swimmer
- In case of employment, you need to provide a police certificate. The certificate must not be older than 6 months from the date of issuance.
The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's skills and thus combating discrimination.
