Leader for Åtvidaberg Municipality's Planning Group.
About the assignment.
Come and help shape the future of Åtvidaberg with us. There is a lot happening in our municipality right now, and we need to be strong in Community Planning; therefore, we are looking for someone who wants to help build the future of Åtvidaberg. Your role in this work is to lead, distribute, and prioritize the daily work of the planning group. You will work strategically to develop the work by implementing efficient and modern work processes. At the same time, you will also work operationally on your own planning projects and their components.
You will have the support of two planning architects and a comprehensive planner, as well as support and close collaboration with others involved in community planning, primarily the unit manager and specialists in nature conservation, GIS/MBK, and MEX. The position as group leader offers great freedom to shape both your role and the group's work processes. If you are interested in and want to engage in tasks typically assigned to a city architect, this opportunity is also available. As a group leader, you will also be involved in various internal and external contacts and dialogues regarding detailed planning issues and projects.
Examples of the planning group's tasks include:
- Physical planning, establishing and processing detailed plans, planning programs, including work on the renewal and transformation of existing areas/plans.
- Responsible for and driving entire planning processes from preliminary studies through consultations and reviews to the completion of the municipality's detailed plans.
- Preparation of documents in collaboration with consultants and developers.
- Assisting and supporting the work with comprehensive plans.
- Citizen contacts – for example, handling feedback, answering questions, and facilitating citizen dialogue.
- 3D visualization of new construction projects.
About you.
We want you to have an education and degree, at least a bachelor's, with a focus on physical planning or equivalent. You should also have several years of experience working with detailed plans. You have developed a broad competence, for example, in relevant legislation, systems such as Focus detailed plan, Adobe programs, and SketchUp, in developing work methods, and in communicating very well in speech, image, and writing.
As a person, you enjoy taking responsibility and leading an operation as a mentor for younger colleagues, as well as having a varied workday where joy, engagement, and development characterize your existence. This could be the perfect job for you if you are looking for a broad influential role in planning, in an organization with short decision-making paths where you also get to work with sustainability issues and the design of outdoor environments! If you feel that Åtvidaberg Municipality would be the right employer for you, but you do not have the experience we are looking for, please submit your application anyway. We may also have a need for a more junior planning architect to strengthen the group.
