We offer the residents of Örebro an environmentally friendly and cost-effective waste management solution. Our waste is a resource that is utilized through recycling. What is recycled is used to produce new items, thereby conserving our natural resources. About the position Within the Waste Management division, approximately 80 dedicated employees work across three units: Customer Service, Transport, and the Atleverket. In this role, you will belong to the Transport unit and become part of a team of over 30 employees whose primary responsibility is to manage waste collection throughout Örebro Municipality. As a waste collector, you will contribute to making everyday life easier for the residents of Örebro. You will help provide a sustainable and accessible waste management system that encourages and simplifies proper sorting for the residents. We achieve this through close dialogue and collaboration with colleagues, politicians, citizens, and businesses. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop both yourself and the municipality. You are encouraged to develop solutions that innovate and positively surprise. Examples of job responsibilities: • Collect waste using a rear-loading garbage truck, transport hazardous waste, and manage the emptying of containers • Perform container service and potentially carry out other machine services • Maintain the division's vehicles and work with quality and environmental awareness • Ongoing reporting in the operational system About the workplace Within Waste Management, you will be part of a team that works together to deliver sustainable and accessible waste management. We aim to make it easy for the residents of Örebro to sort correctly and reduce their waste. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is social and service-oriented and who strives to deliver solutions in interactions with both colleagues and citizens. You have good collaboration skills but also enjoy working independently. You must be proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as the job involves extensive contact with the citizens of Örebro Municipality. To succeed in the role of waste collector, it is essential that you take responsibility for your physical ability to perform the tasks, as the position may involve some strenuous duties. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
