The Children and Education Administration in Vimmerby Municipality is responsible for all educational activities, from preschool to higher education, and also oversees Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and civic orientation for newcomers. Vimmerby Learning Center's operations include municipal adult education at basic and upper secondary levels, Swedish for Immigrants, and adapted adult education. Vimmerby Learning Center is part of Campus Vimmerby in a single organization. Campus offers university and college courses, vocational higher education, and independent courses on-site, in collaboration with various education providers. You will teach students studying Swedish for Immigrants and orientation courses at basic and/or upper secondary levels as needed. Based on student groups, class composition and teaching methods may vary. Courses you teach may also change over time due to changing needs of the adult education target group. Based on governing documents and student needs, you have an assignment to teach with great flexibility, which is why you will teach courses in various study formats, including on-site, distance learning, and tutoring. The job also involves planning, implementing, and evaluating pedagogical work with your colleagues. You will be part of a team where you work with colleagues and team leaders to develop the operations. Furthermore, the work involves collaborating with other actors. As the operations change based on adult education's mission, your assignment may change in content and based on your competencies. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a licensed teacher qualified to teach SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) combined with one or more additional subjects. Previous experience teaching in Adult Education is considered meritorious.
