What we do and want
At Stimmets School, approximately 280 students from preschool class to grade 6 attend.
Many of our students speak multiple languages and enrich the school with their cultural backgrounds. We incorporate the outside world into our teaching but also take the school to the outside world, where outdoor pedagogy is a significant part of our daily activities at the after-school program. Our school is centrally located in Tyresö, with convenient access to public transport, yet we are close to nature as well.
Our operations are characterized by our vision: Passion for learning with brain and heart - I want, I can, I will.
About the position
We are currently seeking a teacher for the after-school program.
In the after-school program, you and your colleagues offer meaningful leisure time based on the students' needs, interests, and experiences, while also continuously challenging them and inspiring new discoveries. In your teaching, you will promote the students' imagination, empathy, and ability to learn together through play, movement, and creative expression, as well as exploratory and practical methods.
We are looking for someone who is engaged and wants to contribute to increased well-being, safety, and learning for our students.
In a leadership role, you are steady and reliable, showing good oversight; you are proactive and resourceful, guiding and supporting the students in the best way possible. You collaborate, communicate, and interact with students, colleagues, and guardians in a friendly and professional manner. You believe that all students can succeed if we provide them with time, patience, and the right conditions.
The position is a permanent full-time role, starting January 7, 2026.
Who are you?
You are a certified teacher for after-school programs, with experience working in such environments.
You have a strong ability to collaborate and see it as essential. You are flexible and enjoy tackling issues as they arise. You take personal responsibility and are curious and positive.
