Do you want to teach in an area that makes a difference for Sweden's security? FMTS is looking for two (2) teachers in countering revealing signals.
About the Position
RÖS (revealing signals) is the Swedish term for unintentional signals from technical equipment that can disclose sensitive information. TEMPEST is the international regulatory framework, as applied in Sweden, that governs how Swedish authorities and organizations should protect themselves; for example, through zoning, technical equipment, and methods. You will teach a broad audience – both military and civilian personnel – and provide them with knowledge and skills in RÖS/TEMPEST. In the long term, we also see you training in other related subject areas within the department. Previous experience in the field is an asset but not a requirement. We provide internal training and support for the right candidate.
The Command Systems Department at the FMTS educational unit trains on command systems used across all branches of the Armed Forces. There is deep expertise in areas such as electrical safety, IT security, radio systems, cryptography, and sensors. The Command Systems Department currently consists of over 40 employees across 4 sections.
Main Responsibilities
• Plan and conduct teaching sessions.
• Develop courses and teaching methods.
• Ensure that the training complies with applicable regulations and requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Armed Forces, other authorities, and companies.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
• Academic education and professional experience in fields such as electrical engineering, pedagogy, natural sciences, or equivalent.
• Class B driver's license.
• Proficient language skills in Swedish and English.

Other Information
This is a permanent full-time civil service position. Start date by agreement. The position is based at FMTS in Halmstad and begins with a 6-month probationary period and applies to those who are currently not employed by the Armed Forces. Domestic and international travel is part of the role. During the recruitment process, we will assess your teaching ability by having you conduct a trial lesson.
