About this role
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and alongside others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
Adult Education
The Adult Education Department of Gotland works to educate and develop the skills of adults.
Here, all different kinds of people meet, with various backgrounds and goals for their studies. What we are passionate about is providing all adults with new opportunities for education and employment. Flexibility, accessibility, and individual adaptation are our three guiding principles.
In addition to the three divisions of adult education— vocational training, basic education, and upper secondary education including adapted education and Swedish for immigrants—we are also a learning center. We have an administrative unit that supports students, learners, and staff with practical and digital matters. In total, we are about 90 employees, of which 60 are educators.
Your Responsibilities
We are looking for a healthcare teacher for adult education in Visby. You will teach subjects including psychiatry, disabilities, social care, and geriatrics and gerontology in vocational programs for nursing assistants and home care aides.
The role also includes teaching commissioned courses. Responsibilities entail planning, instruction, assessment, workplace visits, and documentation. You will be part of a team with several healthcare teachers and a coordinator. Teaching in the evenings may also be required.
Who You Are
Ideally, you are a qualified and certified healthcare teacher, but if you do not hold a teaching qualification, there is the opportunity to obtain teacher certification alongside the role. You have a basic education background such as a nursing assistant or nurse. You possess extensive professional experience in healthcare and social care.
You have good digital competence, and previous experience in adult education and validation is an advantage.
We seek individuals with solid professional knowledge, collaboration skills, and flexibility. Personal suitability is highly valued.
