About this role

**Description** Do you want to help us create a place for community, learning, and personal development? Then you might be the next piece of the puzzle we need to further develop the newly established Lundbyskolan. We are now looking for a licensed teacher qualified to teach textile, wood, and metal craft for grades 7-9. You will teach in both regular and adapted primary education. Mentorship is part of the role, as well as collaboration with the Student Health team when necessary. Take the opportunity to work with skilled colleagues to create the best conditions for the craft subject to become an essential part of Lundbyskolan's vision of community, learning, and personal development. We offer you the chance to contribute to building our newly started school for grades 7-9, including both regular and adapted primary education, in central Hisingen. The classrooms are tailored to meet students' needs, and our teaching is supported by three well-equipped science labs and a prep room. The school building also houses two large sports halls used during school hours, as well as facilities for the Cultural School. Adjacent to the school is a renovated auditorium from the 1950s that enables cultural events and experiences for everyone in the city. Lundbyskolan is set to grow to approximately 600 students by 2026, including 30 students in adapted primary education. **Responsibilities** You will be part of one of the school's work teams and will also collaborate in developing the teaching within subject teams. Together, we aim to create a school day that stimulates students' creativity, curiosity, and self-confidence. All staff at the school actively work to strengthen students' belief in their future and promote good mental health. We strive to provide students with the insight that they have the power to influence and change, allowing them to live a healthy and meaningful life. You will actively work with the Swedish National Agency for Education's policy documents and can apply them to create understandable and meaningful learning for the students. Our development is driven by curiosity. We challenge each other and dare to explore new paths to continuously develop and improve our operations. Together, we establish, follow up, and revise our plans, as it is a shared responsibility to drive school development and advance Lundbyskolan. Courage, perseverance, and innovation characterize our approach. The best thing about Lundbyskolan is that you are here! **Qualifications** We are looking for a licensed teacher qualified to teach both textile and wood and metal craft for grades 7-9. As a person, you are pedagogical and have a strong ability to design, develop, and adapt your teaching to meet students' specific needs, creating a trusting classroom climate where all students can be their true selves. You are also collaborative and interested in contributing to the professional development of the organization, and in interactions with students, parents, and colleagues, you see opportunities to develop yourself and your role as a teacher. We warmly welcome your application! **Other** In this recruitment process, selection questions are used as a tool for the initial selection. This means that you should not attach a personal letter. As an employee in our department, you will be offered wellness benefits, bicycle perks, and employee support. According to the Education Act, extracts from the criminal record must be presented by individuals before being employed in preschool operations, schools, and school-age childcare. You can request this from the Police's website. In preparation for this recruitment, we have already considered recruitment channels, and therefore we kindly decline further offers of competence supply, advertising, and recruitment assistance. We only accept applications through our recruitment system in accordance with GDPR. **About Us** We create the future in Gothenburg – one lesson at a time. Every weekday, thousands of children and young people meet in our schools – together with them, we are shaping the future of Gothenburg. In the primary school administration, we are 10,000 dedicated employees working together to ensure that all students can succeed and grow, regardless of their background or circumstances. You play a crucial role in establishing an equitable school of high quality, where you are both able to develop and contribute to the development of the organization. You build knowledge, community, and optimism for the future together with your colleagues. With us, you have the chance to make a real difference. The Gothenburg primary school administration is responsible for the city’s nearly 140 public schools, from preschool class to grade 9, including adapted primary schools, after-school care, and cultural schools.
