Job Opening: Maritime Safety Instructor at Berga Maritime Safety Section
About the Unit
The Naval Warfare School (SSS) supports marine units with education, development, and unit training. The school provides training covering basic soldier and sailor education, basic officer training, specialized officer programs, and professional role-specific training. The focus is on marine units' combat capabilities. Located in Karlskrona with a section in Berga, the Maritime Safety Section is a newly established unit to meet increasing training volumes. Your workplace will be in Berga, Haninge municipality, working in a team of approximately 10 people with diverse skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Teach Sealing, Pumping, Shoring (TLS) techniques
• Instruct on damage control and combat repairs
• Provide maritime rescue training, including survival suit usage, life raft handling, and emergency signaling
• Teach combat leadership
• Develop maritime safety training in collaboration with colleagues
• Support training administration
• Assist with ship firefighting, CBRN, and medical training
Requirements:
Qualifications:
• High school diploma
• Manual transmission driver's license (B-license)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Completed military service
• Experience in civil/military firefighting
• Active firefighter certification
• Practical maritime or vessel experience
• Truck license
• PRIO (SAP) system knowledge
• Strong understanding of the Swedish Armed Forces, especially the Navy
Additional Details:
• Permanent full-time civil position
• 40-hour work week
• Six-month probationary period
