BMSL is a multilingual preschool and primary school providing education according to the Swedish curriculum. From the age of one to ninth grade, our students pass through the same gate here in central Lund, providing security and continuity for students, teachers, and parents alike. Perhaps this explains why many students see the school as their second home. We prioritize a pleasant and inclusive environment and aim to be the school that students look forward to attending—a place for explorers, researchers, and independent thinkers.
At BMSL, students are immersed in a multilingual and international environment. Our teachers speak Swedish, English, and French, and through our language immersion method, students have the opportunity to develop their language skills naturally. This means that the French teacher always communicates in French and the English teacher always in English, regardless of whether the interaction takes place in the classroom, during after-school activities, in the hallway, or during breaks. Our language educators are native speakers, providing students with an authentic language experience every day.
In addition to language immersion, we utilize Montessori pedagogy as one of several tools to help students achieve the goals set out in the curriculum. Above all, our ambition is to provide every child with the best conditions for the future—by offering a stimulating learning environment, creating security, and igniting curiosity. Our drive is to equip students with the tools they need to reach their full potential.
Currently, there are 44 children in preschool and 424 students in primary school (F-9), along with approximately 220 students in after-school care. Educators and children/students come from various countries and diverse cultures. BMSL is a highly stimulating and dynamic workplace.
