We Offer
At Husbygårdsskolan, we work in a stimulating work environment with opportunities for development.
You will have close collaboration with your teaching colleagues, developing after-school activities together. Husbygårdsskolan is in an exciting development phase where we are working intensively to raise results. We have a large schoolyard with great development potential. By autumn 2025, we will have renovated the after-school facilities and purchased new furniture and experimental teaching materials. The after-school program is divided into two groups with preschool to 2nd-grade students, as well as an after-school program for 3rd-grade students. Our intermediate level has a club activity. Three after-school teachers work at the school, and we are now seeking an additional colleague.
You will have your own planning time and time with teaching colleagues and work teams each week.
Your Role
During the school day, you will be a collaborator and music teacher for 1st-2nd-grade students.
In the afternoons, you will teach in the after-school program for preschool to 3rd-grade students.
As an after-school teacher at Husbygårdsskolan, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the after-school program's activities. You have the ability to create a positive learning environment with accessible teaching that creates a desire to learn and where students develop as far as possible based on their conditions. You need to be a clear leader with high expectations and clear requirements for students. Your clear leadership and varied instruction both promote and maintain safety and study peace in the after-school program. Since the majority of students have Swedish as their second language, instruction must be compensatory, where you teach Swedish explicitly in all after-school program teaching. You have a genuine interest in literature that permeates all your instruction. Together with students, you will discover literature's wonderful world. Husbygårdsskolan has a school library accessible during after-school hours.
An important mission is to work on students' concentration ability, compliance, and attentiveness. We do this by working with Pax in school.
Your Competence and Experience
Requirements:
- You have a teaching certification for after-school programs with a music specialization
- You are well-acquainted with the school's governing documents for after-school programs and music
- You are a clear leader in the classroom and can adapt your instruction to the student group you encounter
- You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and communicate with students, guardians, and colleagues in a way that takes responsibility for the message and ensures the recipient understands what you mean
- You have competence and experience working with compensatory teaching with a special focus on explicit Swedish language instruction
At Husbygårdsskolan, you can truly make a difference for students.
Warmly welcome with your application!
The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at seeing each person's competence and thereby counteracting discrimination.
