Nygårdskolan is a multicultural F-6 school in Borlänge municipality with approximately 300 students. The school is situated in a beautiful environment with close access to nature. JOB DESCRIPTION
One of our teachers will be on leave starting January 2026. Therefore, we are seeking someone who, together with staff, school leadership, and students, wishes to drive and develop the teaching in grades F-3.
As a teacher with us, you will plan, implement, document, and evaluate teaching based on current governing documents and legislation.
We work in subject and work teams which allows educators to develop together; therefore, participation in collegial discussions and development groups is included in the role. We continuously develop our educational activities to ensure a high level of goal achievement among our students.
Mentorship is part of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a teaching license and is qualified to teach in grades F-3.
Excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement.
You can create varied and engaging lessons tailored to the students' needs. You have high expectations and set clear demands for each student. You contribute to each student’s development, knowledge, drive, and motivation.
You are natural and confident in your ability to build relationships with young people. You approach your surroundings with respect, sensitivity, and curiosity.
You communicate clearly and collaborate with students, colleagues, and guardians.
We consider experience working with multilingual students as a merit.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
During the interview, you must provide proof of citizenship in Sweden/EU/EES or a valid work residence permit.
For the candidate who is offered employment, a certificate from the Swedish Police's criminal record register is required according to the Act on Background Checks effective from January 1, 2001.
