About this role
Järntorgsskolan is seeking a substitute teacher for grades 4-6 starting in the spring semester of 2026.
Järntorgsskolan is Nora's largest F-6 school with approximately 280 students. The school has two classes per grade level.
50 highly qualified educators work here, distributed across primary school grades F-6, adapted primary school, and after-school care.
We work based on a shared vision: "Our students feel safe and are stimulated to achieve the best possible results". We are organized into five work teams with team leaders, and the school management consists of a principal and deputy principal.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a teacher for grades 4-6 at Järntorgsskolan, you will work with teaching, have class responsibility, and be responsible for mapping, planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. The work is performed according to established goals and guidelines.
Tasks include collaborating with colleagues to create a good, enjoyable, and varied school day focused on students' best interests. You will challenge and support students to achieve good study results, adapting your teaching to meet all students' needs and conditions. The work is performed in cooperation with other educators, student health services, guardians, and external actors.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for the position, you must have a teaching certification for grades 4-6 or equivalent work experience. The position does not require subject-specific qualifications.
As a person, you are calm and confident, manage stress constructively, and maintain a good mood under pressure and setbacks. You easily empathize, listen, understand, and show consideration. We seek someone who is structured, works according to a clear process, organizes and plans work well, and completes tasks.
