The school has 6-7 parallel classes in each grade and approximately 480 students. We are 60 skilled employees working for the best interests of our students. The principal's area works with three overarching goals: · Good well-being · High school attendance · High goal achievement The school also has an Adapted Primary School for grades 7-9, with approximately 30 students led by its own principal. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You will teach grades 7-9 in English and Swedish as a Second Language There are 5 teachers teaching English and 3 teaching Swedish as a Second Language at the school, and you will have close collaboration. The assignment also includes being a mentor for a class in primary school together with another mentor colleague. QUALIFICATIONS Educationally, you must be a licensed teacher in English and Swedish as a Second Language. It is meritorious if you are also a licensed teacher in Swedish. We prefer candidates with several years of similar work experience. Good digital proficiency is desirable. In Ängelholm Municipality, we use the itslearning platform for communication with students and guardians. It is also important that you have a good ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing. · We are looking for someone who has good insight and knowledge of school governing documents and applies them in daily work. · You have the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire others and help them develop and feel good. · You are good at creating an open dialogue and adapting your actions based on the situation. · You create trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians, making others feel safe. · You have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect. · You collaborate well with people in different contexts and functions. · You have the ability to plan and organize your work. · You easily set goals, organize resources, follow up, and complete activities. · As a person, you are flexible, development-oriented, have good collaborative skills, and maintain a professional approach. · Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. You must be able to present a criminal record certificate from the police for work in schools. Temporary position until 251219 with possible extension.
