About this role
In Ludvika, children and youth are important! We demonstrate this by making children and youth the center of our municipal organization. Most resources directed towards children and youth have been gathered under one committee. This includes preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, and individual and family care. Common to all activities is a conscious quality work to continuously develop and improve work with children and youth.
Job Responsibilities
As a teacher's assistant, you will work both inside and outside the classroom. You should be able to work with individual students and students in groups. Your task is to support teachers with various tasks during the school day and participate in break activities. You will also lead lessons when needed. You must be able to adapt teaching situations based on teachers' instructions and students' needs. You will be a support for students' various needs related to the school's responsibilities. An important part of the work is active preventive safety work, stimulating students' development and learning, social competence, peer relationships, and contributing to a democratic approach.
Work in after-school programs will occur.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with good knowledge and competence to work with students with NPF (neuropsychiatric disorders) individually and in groups.
You have relevant experience for the position and education at a minimum high school level. Previous experience as a teacher's assistant for students with NPF is meritorious. Experience with teaching and assessment in schools is preferred.
Good knowledge of the school's safety policy.
Applicants must demonstrate a strong ability to drive things forward, be self-directed, and take initiative based on what is required at the moment, to best support the teacher and guide the student. It is important that students perceive you as a stable person who is confident and can handle different student personalities and expressions.
You are flexible by adapting your actions to the situation and different emerging needs. You can collaborate with colleagues, students, and guardians. You also have good Swedish language skills, both verbally and in writing.
