About the Role as Warehouse Manager
As Warehouse Manager in Borlänge, you are responsible for the logistics unit that supplies all of Norrland with goods. You are one of two logistics managers, and together you lead approximately 20 managers and 600 employees, the majority of whom are unionized staff. You will work closely with the logistics manager, warehouse manager, HR, health and safety representatives, unions, and transportation operations.
You will actively work on cultural change, improvement initiatives, and future-proofing the operations while ensuring efficient operations, driving development, and contributing to ICA’s shared logistics goals.
Your Responsibilities
• Lead and develop warehouse operations with a focus on quality, efficiency, and work environment.
• Ensure that the flow of goods to ICA stores in northern Sweden functions optimally.
• Develop and coach team leaders while creating a culture characterized by professionalism, respect, and care.
• Contribute to strategic development and change management within the logistics area.
• Create structure and clarity and drive change with courage and a lack of pretension.
• Lead by example, build trust, and foster confidence.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties, including transportation operations.
We Are Looking for Someone Who Has
• Post-secondary education in logistics, economics, or a related field.
• Documented experience in leading larger operational activities within warehousing, logistics, industry, or production with a high degree of technology and automation.
• Experience in leading managers, unionized employees, and white-collar workers.
• Experience in union collaboration and responsibility for workplace safety.
• A strong understanding of change management, improvement initiatives, and strategic development.
• Experience from larger, complex organizations is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and an understanding of what creates a modern digital workplace.
• The ability to communicate clearly, generate engagement, and build strong teams.
