The central warehouse has approximately 25-30 employees and is responsible for the region's material supply through purchasing services and depot operations. The central warehouse purchases and stocks around 1,900 items, with the largest customers being Region Blekinge and Region Kronoberg. About the job As a warehouse worker at the central warehouse, you will be part of the logistics unit, which also includes the transport department and the department for care-related services. In this role, you will work with traditional warehouse management and order picking. The work may also involve sterile handling in the central warehouse's sterilization department. Your tasks will include receiving parcels by scanning, sorting packages, restocking pallets in shelving, and lifting down and replenishing picking areas. The job as a whole demands high levels of accuracy, flexibility, and resilience to stress. You will work in a team of several employees who collectively strive towards set goals, where order and organization are prerequisites for effective logistics. Daily tasks include picking, packing, and inventory, which may involve heavy lifting at times. This position is a temporary contract for 11 months. About you We are looking for someone who has completed high school education. Experience in similar work is preferred. As a person, you have good teamwork skills, are detail-oriented, and can easily adapt to new conditions. It is advantageous if you have a forklift license and experience from service professions. Computer literacy is required, and knowledge of Sesam 2 is a plus, as all reporting is done in that system. Personal suitability is of great importance. Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a crisis role.
