About this role

Skanska Teknik is a strategic technical resource within Skanska Sweden, employing approximately 230 staff members. We work with quality-assured solutions that our customers, authorities, and, not least, our environment require. We participate in the effort to streamline the entire construction process in close collaboration with production, from development work and early bidding stages to implementation. Within Skanska Teknik, the department of Road Technology Center (VTC) is included. VTC has laboratories that perform manufacturing and delivery control of asphalt, concrete, rock materials, and bitumen. We develop technical and sustainable solutions for today and the future, as well as contribute to the technical quality assurance of materials and products within our area of operation. VTC also drives development projects where we greatly benefit from our laboratories. About the Position As a Laboratory Technician at Skanska, you will become an important part of the team within the Road Laboratory Northeast. You will work closely with a couple of colleagues in the laboratory and collaborate with several other colleagues at the workplace. On-site, there is a laboratory manager who supports you in your daily work, and you also have a personnel-responsible group manager who works remotely. In total, we have about 50 colleagues in the department spread across the country, providing you with opportunities to collaborate and exchange experiences with experts in the field. Your responsibilities primarily consist of testing and analyzing rock materials and asphalt. The work can sometimes be physically demanding when handling stone samples. Who Are We Looking For? In this recruitment, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. We are looking for someone who is meticulous, analytical, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. We also seek individuals who are curious or have a strong interest in laboratory work. With us, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop to contribute to our operations! For this position, you need to be proficient in Swedish and have good skills in both spoken and written communication. It is important that you have good computer skills, and prior experience working in a laboratory and handling laboratory equipment or other relevant experience is highly meritorious. Additionally, a valid driver's license (B) is required, and we prefer that you have access to a car. Since several of our clients operate in security-classified activities, a security check is a requirement. This position requires a valid fitness certificate regarding quartz: fibrogenic dust. To ensure fitness for the role, a medical examination will be conducted before employment is finalized. Welcome with your application! Please submit your application with a CV and cover letter via the link. We are working with ongoing selections, so please send in your application as soon as possible, but no later than December 3, 2025. The position may be filled before the application deadline. Do you have questions? Feel free to contact the recruiting manager Henrik Johansson at 010-448 68 29 or [email protected]. Our employees are our greatest strength, and it is important that you feel secure with us. We want you to enjoy your job and have fun with your colleagues. We promise you, as an employee, continuous professional development and provide a range of internal training, position-specific programs, and international development opportunities. For us, health and safety are particularly important, and they also form the basis for our benefits to you as an employee at Skanska. Skanska uses its knowledge and foresight to contribute to how people live, work, and collaborate. We are one of the world's largest project development and construction companies, with a revenue of 157 billion SEK in 2023. Skanska operates in selected markets in the Nordic countries, Europe, and the USA. Together with our customers and a combined expertise of approximately 27,000 employees, we create innovative, sustainable solutions that promote health and well-being beyond our lifetime.
