Academic Resource is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a diagnostics company in Uppsala.
The position is a consulting assignment initially with the possibility of extension.
The work is full-time during daytime hours.
Start date to be agreed upon.
As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the development and testing of diagnostic products.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that laboratory results are accurate, reliable, and of high quality.
**Responsibilities:**
- Perform laboratory tests and analyses in accordance with established protocols and quality standards.
- Prepare samples, reagents, and equipment for testing with precision and care.
- Responsibly and accurately prepare and handle clinical and bacterial samples.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments, including proper documentation and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Support product development through calibration, verification, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with R&D and quality departments to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and other relevant standards.
- Contribute to initiatives for continuous improvement in the laboratory environment.
**Qualifications:**
We are looking for someone with a collaborative attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences, laboratory technology, microbiology, or a related field.
- Experience in a clinical or research laboratory environment, preferably within IVD or medical diagnostics.
- Practical experience in antibiotic susceptibility testing (e.g., disk diffusion, broth microdilution, or automated systems).
- Familiarity with bacterial culture, identification, and handling of clinical isolates.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
- Experience working under quality systems such as ISO 13485 or GMP is an advantage.
- Good command of Swedish and English.
