Laboratory Technician

**About the Position** We are seeking a laboratory technician for Smurfit Westrock Piteå Laboratory. As a laboratory technician, you will work in our paper laboratory, which also serves as a reference laboratory within the group. The laboratory's operations encompass environmental, process, and quality control related to production, assignments from the development organization, as well as from other production units within the Smurfit Westrock group. Your main responsibilities will include testing paper produced at Smurfit Westrock's internal mills. This is to ensure that we maintain the correct quality level and that the right quality is procured when using external suppliers of liners for our corrugated board plants. You will also work on testing related to production investigations, complaints, and development projects. **Who You Are** You, as the applicant, have a three-year upper secondary education with a technical/scientific focus, and it is advantageous if you have completed a course in pulp and paper technology. It is beneficial if you have knowledge of processes and products, as well as relevant experience in laboratory work. Since our customers also include other production units within Smurfit Westrock, you need to be able to communicate in both spoken and written Swedish and English. We are looking for someone with a systematic and methodical approach to work. The position requires you to be meticulous, flexible, and possess good collaboration skills. **Additional Information** This is a permanent full-time position, with 37.5 hours per week.
