Job Description
Randstad Life Sciences is seeking a molecular biology laboratory engineer for a consulting assignment in Uppsala. We are looking for someone who is comfortable in a quality-controlled laboratory environment and has extensive experience with cell culture work and methods such as ELISA, PCR, qPCR, SDS-PAGE, and Western blot. You will work with molecular biology analytical techniques in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. The role offers varied tasks with both laboratory and theoretical challenges. Responsibilities
Your daily tasks include independently performing work according to method descriptions, instructions, or experimental plans. You will compile, verify, and report results, as well as plan your own work based on given priorities and timeframes. Additionally, you are expected to participate in deviation investigations and actively contribute to the client's improvement work.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone who is passionate about laboratory work and has good experience with methods such as ELISA, PCR, qPCR, SDS-PAGE, and Western blot. Experience working with biological samples is a significant plus. We prefer candidates with previous experience working with cell lines or primary cell cultures.
In this role, depending on the assignment and your experience level, you will either independently perform work according to existing method descriptions and instructions or establish new method descriptions. It is crucial that you have the ability to plan your work efficiently and stay within specified timeframes.
To succeed in the role, we are looking for someone with:
• Academic degree in biomedicine, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, or equivalent.
• Experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques such as ELISA, PCR, SDS-PAGE, and Western Blot.
• Experience with laboratory work in a GxP environment.
• Ability to express yourself fluently in speech and writing in Swedish.
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
• Method development and method validation.
• Instrument qualification.
• Working with LIMS or similar systems.
