Academic Resource is seeking a Laboratory Engineer / Laboratory Assistant for a Life Science company in Uppsala. This is initially a 6-month consultant assignment with potential for extension.
The position is full-time and on-site, located in Uppsala.
Start at the beginning of the new year.
Department Description:
The Start to Finish department within R&D covers the entire customer process from beginning to end and is an application-oriented department within the R&T organization.
The Column Packing and Functionality team focuses on developing column packing methods, from small to large scale.
Role/Work Responsibilities:
• Perform column packing experiments for large-scale packed columns
• Participate in various R&D projects and conduct laboratory experiments – independently or in teams – including planning, execution, and documentation of results
• Prepare and set up equipment and workstations for experiments
• Contribute to continuous improvements
Qualifications:
- College degree in relevant technical field (chemistry/biotechnology/biology) with several years of laboratory work experience OR high school diploma with extensive laboratory work experience
- Office package proficiency
- Excellent Swedish and English skills, both verbal and written
