About the Position
As a laboratory technician, you are the hub of SGS's important and responsible mission – to protect public health. After training, you will independently perform microbiological, chemical, and sensory analysis of food according to established methods and routines. The work also includes sample collection and registration, equipment maintenance, quality controls, and improvement work.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is structured, systematic, and meticulous, with the ability to react, act, and prioritize in a situation-adapted manner both in groups and individually. We seek someone who can be humble, balanced, and communicative in various contexts to achieve set goals. You should be comfortable following routines and instructions and working according to the organization's policies and guidelines.
You have studied at a science-focused high school or have equivalent experience. We find work experience in a laboratory and/or college studies in microbiology or food chemistry to be meritorious.
The work requires good Swedish language skills, both verbal and written, as method and routine descriptions and safety instructions are in Swedish. You should also have good English language skills, both verbal and written.
Basic Office skills are required. Experience with Lean is a significant plus.
A B driver's license is required.
For sensory analysis, lactose tolerance is necessary.
