We are now seeking a laboratory technician who truly thrives in a laboratory environment and has several years of relevant experience for an exciting consultant assignment with QRIOS Life Sciences partner Cytiva in Uppsala. It is meritorious if you have worked with column packing, chromatography, and/or ÄKTA systems, and wish to continue developing in an innovative R&D environment.
Here, you will become part of an R&D department responsible for the entire development chain – from idea to final customer solution. The team you will join focuses on developing column filling methods from small to large-scale formats, with the mission of driving forward improved processes for future biotechnical production.
This will be your first assignment as a consultant with QRIOS. The assignment is full-time and on-site in Uppsala.
About the Position
As a Laboratory Technician in the Cytiva team, you will:
• Perform column filling experiments for large-scale pre-packed columns.
• Participate in various R&D projects and independently or in teams plan, execute, and document laboratory experiments.
• Prepare and set up equipment and workstations for experiments.
• Contribute to continuous improvements of methods, processes, and workflows.
Who Are You?
We are seeking someone who thrives best in a laboratory environment and wants to be an active part of research and development work. You have either:
• A college degree in chemistry, biotechnology, or biology with several years of laboratory experience, or
• A high school education with extensive practical lab work experience.
You have good knowledge of the Office suite and are proficient in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
