ABOUT THE POSITION
Hydroscand's lab is a central support function for the entire organization and currently consists of two other employees. We are now seeking a third Lab Technician to join Hydroscand's lab team. The team is part of the larger Technical Innovation & Services department. In this role, you will take on the important responsibility of analyzing, testing, and preparing materials and prototypes, with a specific focus on hoses and related equipment. Your expertise is crucial as you will function as a central link throughout Hydroscand's operations, including product owners and their internal branches.
The role requires independence and planning. You will conduct daily planning to manage material retrieval and prioritize incoming cases while coordinating access to lab equipment and machines. The role will also involve practical and mechanical work such as assembling hoses and troubleshooting/maintaining lab equipment as needed, for example by replacing components.

TASKS
Main responsibilities will include:
* Performing test activities according to plan, measuring samples, and writing documentation/test reports.
* Working in the lab in compliance with relevant safety issues and procedures.
* Supporting Technical Innovation & Services and cross-functional lab activities.
* Managing, analyzing, and administering complaints and field qualities.
* Acting as backup to the regular complaints and lab manager.
* Managing complaint inventory by inventorying, cleaning, and updating ERP systems.
* Researching and developing role/tools/processes/methods.
* The role will include other ad hoc activities within Hydroscand.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:
- Have a university or higher education in a relevant field, such as mechanics. Work experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
- Have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. If you have been a mechanic or service technician with knowledge of hydraulics, you may also be the one we're seeking.
- Have good IT skills to read and understand technical documentation.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
- Can read and understand standards such as ISO/EN/SS.
- Have very good verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities: You have a sense of taking initiative, being self-driven, and able to work cross-functionally in teams. Your ability to be both problem-solving and detail-oriented will be key to success, along with being communicative, precise, and structured. You need to have a very good technical and analytical ability, including understanding how technical systems work and how to analyze them.
