Solberg School
Solberg School is a workplace with approximately 630 students and around 85 staff members.
The school offers grades 7-9, special education groups, a resource school for speech and language for grades 7-9, adapted primary school for grades 4-9, and a Mother Tongue Unit. We aim to create a good study environment for everyone through clear structure, collegial collaboration, and shared responsibility. Your Responsibilities
You will teach grades 4-9 in the subject of wood and metal crafts. Together with colleagues in the craft subject, you will engage in planning and instruction. Collegial learning, co-assessment, and subject development are also part of the role. You will be responsible for the craft classrooms and material maintenance as part of your collaboration with colleagues. You work with high expectations and see good relationships with students and guardians as the natural starting point for your work. In collaboration with colleagues, you will create accessible learning environments based on clear and low-arousal leadership. You will take responsibility for and participate in relevant professional development to grow and advance in your profession.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with qualifications and a teaching license.
Experience in other work life, educational activities, or similar is advantageous. You are committed to guiding students to achieve good results by providing them with the right conditions to practice and develop their skills, as well as helping students feel involved in their own learning. You are confident in building relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have the ability to work independently and purposefully based on the primary school curriculum and in interdisciplinary teams with other colleagues.
You should be familiar with current curricula, digital tools, and be able to adapt and analyze based on students' needs, as well as be confident in grading and assessment. Together with colleagues, you will help develop the craft subject and be curious about school development in general.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
About the Education and Labor Administration
As part of Region Gotland, we in the Education and Labor Administration contribute to the learning and development of children, youth, and adults. We are responsible for, among other things, preschools, primary schools, after-school care, adapted primary and secondary schools, cultural schools, upper secondary and adult education, labor market initiatives, youth centers, as well as the reception and establishment of newcomers.
