State Institutions Board (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for youth with complex psychosocial problems and adults with substance abuse. SiS also executes closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with addiction, across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Råby receives both girls and boys. We have both closed and open places for closed youth care and treatment placements for youth placed under the Care of Young Persons Act.
Job Description

We work with youth in challenging and tough life situations. Many have negative school experiences and low trust in teachers and other adults. As a teacher here, you will work with these students and have a unique chance to spark their desire to learn and make them proud of themselves. Teaching occurs in smaller groups, giving you ample time for each student. You always start from individual needs and build relationships that make youth feel safe at school.
Qualifications
We are primarily seeking someone near the end of their teacher training program. Previous teaching experience is meritorious. We are looking for hourly substitute teachers in the following subjects: Swedish, Swedish as a second language, mathematics, English, music, science, and natural science subjects, which may also be combined with other subjects.
The job requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Personal suitability is crucial for the assignment. You have good collaboration skills, initiative, a flexible approach, and a positive student perspective. Equally important is having a fundamental positive view of people, strong empathetic abilities, and the capacity to create good relationships.
