About this role

Are you passionate about school development, improving teaching, and creating new pathways to enhance students' achievement? If so, you are warmly invited to apply for the position of teacher at Hammarkullsskolan, an adapted primary school. **Job Responsibilities** As a teacher in our adapted primary school, you will work with students with varying needs, where each student's opportunity to succeed is the focus. You will primarily teach based on the curriculum subject areas, but if needs change, this may involve teaching based on curriculum subjects. You will employ practical and varied teaching methods that support students' social, communicative, and academic development. A significant part of the role involves care and hygiene. Your responsibilities as a teacher include planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching, with a focus on individual adaptation and clear learning structures. Together with your subject and work team, you will collaborate to strengthen students' learning processes. **About the School** Here, you will work in a multicultural area, in a developing environment with projects that enhance students, educators, and the organization towards higher achievement. We have a positive outlook on life and are ready to embrace new challenges and work flexibly to achieve the best results for our students. We focus not only on students' learning and achievement but also on our collective learning as staff. Collegial learning is a fundamental part of our work, as we believe we perform better and more effectively when we work together. You will have the opportunity to work with experienced, competent educators who support and develop the organization while enjoying their work together. Together, we make Hammarkullsskolan an inspiring workplace and a successful school. Hammarkullsskolan is one of three schools in Hammarkullen, serving approximately 200 students from preschool class to grade three, as well as in adapted primary school grades 1-6. About 60 dedicated staff members work at the school, and we have a strong and committed student health team. At Hammarkullsskolan, we strive to create a language-developing learning environment for our students. **Qualifications** We are looking for a qualified teacher with certification to teach grades F-6 and subject areas. It is required that you have experience teaching in an adapted primary school and that you have a strong command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Experience working in particularly disadvantaged areas and in multicultural schools is an advantage. Since several of the students do not have verbal communication, proficiency in sign language and alternative augmentative communication (AAC) is also beneficial. As a person, you are collaborative, which is evident through your ability to listen, show interest, and respect towards those you work with. You strive to ensure that the collective mission is as successful as possible. At the same time, you are flexible, able to quickly change your perspective and approach, and see opportunities in changes. You are also attentive and communicative, adapting your communication to the audience, target group, and situation, ensuring that your message is conveyed effectively. Does the above description resonate with you? We warmly welcome your application! **Additional Information** As an employee in our administration, you will be offered benefits such as wellness grants, bicycle benefits, and employee support. According to the Education Act, individuals must present a police background check before being employed in preschool activities, schools, and school-age childcare. You can order this through the Police's website. In preparation for this recruitment, we have decided on recruitment channels and therefore kindly decline further offers of competency mediation, advertising, and recruitment assistance. We only accept applications through our recruitment system in accordance with GDPR. **About Us** We are shaping the future in Gothenburg – one lesson at a time. Every weekday, thousands of children and young people meet in our schools – with them, we shape the future of Gothenburg.
