Kvarnbäcksskolan is a primary school (grades F-6) with over 290 happy and knowledge-hungry students and approximately 45 committed and competent employees.
Our students and/or their guardians come from all parts of the world. Therefore, it's important that you are culturally aware and interested in actively working to support students' language development.
Our school was renovated during the 2023-2024 school year and has bright, fresh facilities. In a socioeconomically challenging area like ours, it's crucial that the school radiates knowledge and security as a foundation for daring and wanting to develop. In the upcoming school year, significant emphasis will be placed on developing language and knowledge-enhancing work methods in all subjects across the school. This will be done in collaboration with the National Agency for Education and other schools in the municipality.
We are seeking a qualified teacher of Swedish as a second language

About the position
As a Swedish as a second language teacher, you will support students' Swedish language development, both in the classroom and in smaller groups. You will plan, implement, and follow up instruction based on curriculum documents and individual student needs. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in various subjects to promote language and knowledge development across all subjects.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a teaching certification with qualification in Swedish as a second language
- Has good knowledge of language and knowledge-enhancing work methods
- Is confident in their professional role and has an inclusive approach
- Has good collaboration skills and a genuine interest in student development
- Has experience working with students from diverse linguistic backgrounds
