About the Workplace
Ulriksdal School is a preschool through 9th-grade school with approximately 700 students, of which about 200 are in middle school. The school opened in 2014 and has a heterogeneous composition of students from the local area. The school is located in the Ulriksdal district, which can be easily accessed by commuter train and bus. Beautiful natural areas are located near the school.
We are now seeking a substitute teacher for Swedish/Social Studies on an 80% basis during the spring semester of 2026.
What Does the Job Involve?
We are seeking a primary school teacher to teach 8th grade. The work involves full mentorship for an 8th-grade class, planning responsibility for instruction, and collaboration with other school staff. The position includes all aspects of Swedish and Social Studies subjects: from developing ideas and planning work to creating and evaluating it. You will conduct lessons, create pedagogical documentation, and strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where all students feel seen.
Together with other teachers, you will be responsible for the pedagogical activities. You will be part of a team that will shape and develop the operations and lay a good foundation for students' development. School development in Solna includes language-developing approaches, digitalization, value-based education, and adapting learning environments. An important part of the work is developing the social climate so that all students feel well and comfortable in the group.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking someone who:
- Is a licensed teacher
- Is qualified to teach Swedish and Social Studies for 8th grade
- Has experience in pedagogical work
- Has experience meeting students who need extra classroom adaptations
- Has experience with pedagogical documentation
- Is well-versed in the curriculum
- Has experience with various forms of collaboration, such as parent meetings and daily parent contact
- Has knowledge of ICT
- Can express themselves well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
It is meritorious if you have experience working as a teacher in Swedish and Social Studies.

As a teacher with us, you will be relationship-focused and have a desire to follow students' learning and support them in developing further.
