About this role
Our F-6 organization consists of 14 primary schools and a special needs school divided into 9 different principal areas. Each principal area has a management team consisting of a principal, deputy principals, and a student health team with various professionals. Working with schools in rural and urban areas, we aim to increase equality and integration within and between schools and strengthen the quality of our municipal primary education. Our goal is to create good conditions for learning and education that result in solid knowledge and high goal achievement.
Stigtomta School is a fantastic F-6 school with approximately 300 wonderful students and around 45 dedicated employees. The school is beautifully located near a school forest, with a schoolyard and school garden that inspire activity, learning, and play. The school building is about 6 years old and characterized by bright rooms, classrooms and common areas with muted acoustics, and a superb school restaurant.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Nyköping Municipality is seeking teachers who want to make a difference in students' lifelong learning. We work based on the school curriculum and use digital tools in pedagogical documentation. Our operations are permeated by a salutogenic approach and we have strong faith in students' abilities. The teaching role includes planning, implementation, and follow-up of instruction. You will evaluate and develop pedagogical work based on school policy documents and students' needs and interests, both individually and together with the team.
You will be part of a team where you are expected to actively contribute with a solution- and result-oriented approach. You will work together in teams with teacher colleagues and teaching assistants/support staff. Your mission is to collectively lead and support students in their social and academic development.
You will teach in a 4th-grade class.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a teaching degree and certification for grades 4-6 in theoretical subjects issued by the National Agency for Education. You have clear pedagogical insight and ability to translate curriculum goals into your work. You demonstrate strong leadership and are confident in your student groups. You are flexible, structured, and well-prepared. You are a present and co-investigating pedagogue who challenges and stimulates student development.
A strong belief in collaboration as a success factor for pedagogical development is a matter of course for you. You communicate directly and humbly with guardians and create trusting relationships with students and their families.
Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
