Högåsskolan is a preschool to 6th-grade school with approximately 490 students and 70 employees in the picturesque Knivsta, right next to the Gredelby Meadows Nature Reserve. Our proximity to nature while being centrally located with short distance to commuter trains for quick access to Uppsala or Stockholm offers fantastic opportunities for various types of teaching variation, which we see as an important part of students' learning.
We have a maximum of 24 students per class, with 3 classes in each grade level.
The school is centrally located in Knivsta and was inaugurated in 2015.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a teacher/special education teacher in the small group, you will work with a few students who have a more comprehensive support need. We are seeking someone with broad competence and qualification to teach grades 4-6. You will primarily teach Swedish, English, mathematics, social studies, and science. We prefer candidates who are qualified and have experience teaching students in adapted primary school with individual integration. You will be a mentor for your students and work closely with special education teachers, guardians, student resources, other teaching staff, and the work team.
You will plan and conduct lessons, assess and document student development, promote a safe and inclusive environment, and support students according to their needs.
Högåsskolan uses the Meitner learning platform and incorporates IT equipment as a natural part of instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a qualified and licensed teacher in Swedish, English, and mathematics, preferably also in social studies and science for grades 4-6.
It is meritorious if you are qualified and/or have previous experience teaching students in adapted primary school with individual integration.
Personal suitability is of utmost importance for this assignment.
