Description
We are seeking an engaged and supportive teacher for our adapted primary school where students with intellectual disabilities receive instruction tailored to their individual needs.
Our focus is on relationships, structure, and an inclusive approach. You will become part of a competent and warm team working together to ensure each student feels seen, understood, and given opportunities to develop.
Responsibilities
As a teacher, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction based on the curriculum for adapted primary school. You will work with clarifying pedagogy, visual support, and other adapted methods to meet student needs. The role also includes mentorship, collaboration with teaching assistants, and communication with guardians. You will be a crucial part of creating a safe and stimulating learning environment where students can develop both academically and socially.
Qualifications
- Teaching degree with qualification to teach in adapted primary school
- Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities or neuropsychiatric variations
- Strong ability to create structure, security, and positive relationships
- Knowledge of alternative communication, clarifying pedagogy, and low-affective approaches is meritorious
- Flexible, solution-oriented, and highly committed to each student's development
