Job Responsibilities/Assignments
The position involves teaching students with intellectual disabilities. As a teacher, you will have overall responsibility for planning, implementation, and follow-up of instruction. You will be part of a team together with other teachers and student assistants, where collaboration and a shared focus on the student's best interests are always at the center. You will lead the pedagogical work in the classroom and be responsible for adapting instruction based on each student's individual needs and conditions.
Your assignment also includes guiding and preparing student assistants for their work with students. You will play an active role in collaboration with guardians and other partners such as central child and student health services.
Meritorious Qualifications
Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities.
Personal Characteristics
You have experience working with students requiring special support. You have good knowledge and experience with ADHD, language disorders, and autism. You are comfortable with low-affective approaches and using clarifying pedagogy. You are well-versed in school governing documents and have a structured work approach where guidance, stimulation, adaptations, and special support are a natural part of instruction.
As a person, you are attentive, solution-focused, and have high collaboration skills. You enjoy working closely with others and see the strength in well-functioning teamwork. You also have the ability to work independently, plan and implement your instruction with clear structure and flexibility. You use digital tools in teaching and documentation, and you have a genuine interest in student health, special education, and school development.
