We are now seeking two teachers for adapted primary school in Gagnefs Municipality.
The adapted primary school is located at Mockfjärdsskolan and is naturally integrated into the school.
In Gagnefs Municipality, we predominantly have qualified teachers in our schools, which we are very proud and happy about. We continuously offer professional development to improve teaching and have a close collaboration with Dalarna University. Some of our schools welcome students from teacher education programs, an exchange that enriches us with new research on school development.
We strive for close collaboration within work teams around students to create safe and inclusive learning environments for all children. We are committed to developing student health work, a responsibility shared by everyone working in the school. Digital development is progressing rapidly, and Gagnefs Municipality is at the forefront of developing teaching based on curriculum goals. Students in grades 5-9 have 1-1 computers, and other classes use iPads in instruction.
Job Responsibilities
You will conduct teaching within your area and adapt the learning environment to each student's individual needs. Your assignment includes planning, implementing, and evaluating pedagogical work based on the adapted primary school's governing documents and the student's needs and interests, both individually and together with the work team.
Mentorship is an important part of our operations, providing good contact with guardians and other collaborative partners. Together with the work team, you will contribute to creating a holistic approach around the student.
Qualifications
We are seeking a licensed teacher with a focus on grades 4-9. You have good IT skills, and it is meritorious if you have knowledge of using digital tools in a learning process and experience working with people with intellectual disabilities. The job requires good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing.
It is important that you have good knowledge of children and youth's knowledge development, and knowledge of NPF (Neuropsychiatric Functional Disorders) is meritorious. To succeed as a teacher in adapted primary school, you should have good leadership skills, a relational approach, pedagogical insight, and collaboration ability. It is also important that you are structured, flexible, and self-driven.
Terms
The position is a 100% permanent employment with start date January 7, 2026, or by agreement. Before employment, teaching certification and a valid extract from the National Police Board's criminal record must be presented. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the advertising period.
