Teacher for After-School Care

Skolbyn is located in the eastern part of Hudiksvall, close to most amenities; the city center, the sea, the forest, illuminated trails, sports park, and swimming pool. All classrooms in the school are equipped with interactive boards. All necessary facilities for teaching are available at the school, except for textile crafts and home economics, which are conducted at Östra School, approximately 300 meters from Skolbyn. The school has a kitchen where all meals are prepared by the school's own kitchen staff. Around 225 students attend the school, from preschool class up to grade 6. The school has an after-school program with approximately 100 enrolled students. About 30 well-educated educators work at Skolbyn, including one special education teacher for Swedish and one for mathematics. The school has a student health team consisting of the principal, school nurse, school counselor, special education teacher, and special pedagogue. Job Responsibilities You will be responsible, together with other educators, for planning, implementing, and following up on activities, with a primary focus on the after-school program. The after-school program complements the school and offers meaningful leisure time and support in development. You play a vital role in the child's entire day within our activities. Important aspects of the work include the value foundation mission and driving goal-oriented work. Your Profile We are looking for someone who has a degree and teaching certification for after-school programs. It is an advantage if you are qualified to teach in one or more subjects and have a strong interest in further developing the after-school activities based on Lgr 22. You are communicative and find it easy to build relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You strive to develop each student's abilities academically and socially to the fullest extent possible within the framework of the entire primary school’s activities. Furthermore, you are a flexible person who is available for all students at the school and can smoothly adopt the school's common approach. You take overall responsibility for the students' school day and contribute to a pleasant and inclusive environment. Personal suitability is of great importance. About the Administration We teach children to read, count, and discover the world around them. Here, we follow our youngest community members from preschool until they graduate from high school. Through our adult education program, individuals can learn Swedish as a second language, take individual courses, or pursue longer education.
