About the position
We are looking for a teacher for an upcoming parental leave replacement. You will teach Science and Technology at the middle school level and have the opportunity to collaborate with other Science and Technology teachers at the school. It is important that you find joy in working with the entire age range in middle school. In the role of teacher, it is essential that you have the ability to serve as a bridge in the students' journey between stages and guide them towards increased independence. You are a reliable adult who has a strong ability to create sustainable and lasting relationships with both children and adults. You will be an important representative of our school.
Examples of responsibilities:
• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in the subjects you are responsible for
• Use methods and approaches that lead to the best possible achievement of goals
• Provide mentorship/perform class teacher duties
• Work collaboratively with the team and other staff at the school

Qualifications
As a teacher, it is important that you have good collaboration skills where you listen and communicate, as well as contribute to a calm and safe school environment. You should also have knowledge of children's development and learning, as well as the ability to adapt teaching based on the group and individual students' needs and circumstances. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
• Teaching certification with authorization to teach Science and Technology for grades 4-6, or an equivalent degree that qualifies for teaching certification
Meritorious:
• Experience in teaching at the primary school level
• ICDP training
