Ringelskolan is a primary school for grades 4-6, located within walking distance from the center of Arvidsjaur. Approximately 200 students attend the school, and we have around 30 employees. Each grade has three classes, for which the class teacher has primary responsibility. The class teacher teaches their own class but also instructs in the other classes within the team/grade in one or more subjects, depending on qualifications and needs. In addition to class teachers, we have resource teachers, teachers in practical and aesthetic subjects, student assistants, and student health personnel working in the school. Our staff includes both experienced teachers and recent graduates. What unites us all is our passion for the students.
The school is situated in a scenic area, inviting outdoor activities. Nearby, there are a swimming pool, sports hall, and ice rink. There is also a sports field within walking distance that allows for athletics. Football fields and ski trails are also available in the vicinity.
Job Description
You will conduct structured teaching based on current governing documents, follow up and analyze your teaching and students' results. You are a clear leader in the classroom and are willing to explore new methods to continuously improve your teaching. You work with high expectations and view good relationships with students and guardians as a natural part of your work. In collaboration with colleagues, you create positive learning environments based on clear and low-arousal leadership. Mentorship is included in the position.
Qualifications
You hold a teaching license and are qualified to teach theoretical subjects in grades 4-6. You are a clear leader in the classroom, possessing structure and strong pedagogical skills in teaching. You have experience actively working with values-based issues and understand the importance of students feeling well in school to perform effectively.
We want you to have high expectations and a belief that all students can succeed. As a teacher, you adapt your instruction based on each student's unique circumstances and view school development as a natural part of the teaching role.
You can motivate students by clarifying goals and knowledge requirements, enabling them to achieve good results in their schoolwork. You easily find collaborative approaches and see the teaching team and student health services as assets. We place great importance on your ability to create positive personal relationships.
Additional Information
This position is a temporary contract with the possibility of extension. A background check from the police is required. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. The position may be filled before the application deadline.
