The Education Department in Gävle is responsible for preschool, primary school, secondary school, and adapted education. Together, we help Gävle's children and students achieve their goals. At Hagaströms School, we have approximately 320 students from preschool class to grade 6, with two classes in each grade. Our school is located near nature and has its own forest on the school grounds. Within walking distance, there is also a sports field called Haga IP. Our goal is for all students and adults to feel safe and thrive at school. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher at Hagaström School for grades 1-3, you will work with instruction, have class responsibility, and be accountable for mapping, planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. The work is carried out according to established goals and guidelines. Your responsibilities also include mentorship and collaborating with your colleagues to create a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. You will challenge and support students to achieve good academic results and adapt your teaching based on the needs and circumstances of all students. The work is performed in collaboration with other educators, student health services, guardians, and other stakeholders outside the school. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for an engaged and driven teacher with a teaching degree and teaching certification for instruction in grades 1-3. You have a good understanding of the primary school curriculum and are accustomed to working with digital tools, such as documentation in Unikum or Office. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have the ability to prioritize and use resources effectively to achieve results. We seek someone who is proactive, unpretentious, and builds trust in professional relationships. You enjoy collaborating and see the value in creating an open dialogue where you adapt your language to the situation.
