JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a vocational teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction in both theoretical and practical aspects of the training, including workplace-based learning (APL). As a teacher with us, you will teach our combination programs in restaurant and food service, as well as hospitality and tourism, on-site at Gekås in Ullared in close collaboration with Swedish language instructors. The vocational packages are planned as follows, with potential minor changes: Restaurant and Food Service - Service and Customer Care Level 1, 100 credits - Food Hygiene Level 1, 100 credits - Cooking Levels 1 and 2, 200 credits Hospitality and Tourism - Service and Customer Care Level 1, 100 credits - Housekeeping Levels 1 and 2, 200 credits - Cleaning Service Level 1, 100 credits QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone who has worked for several years as a vocational teacher in Restaurant and Food Service/Hospitality and Tourism and is confident in their professional role. You should be a certified vocational teacher. You should have documented work experience from municipal adult education and thus experience and knowledge in working with adult learning. You enjoy working with adults. Your subject knowledge is excellent. You have an interest in developing instruction that is inclusive and grounded in current scientific theories. With your pedagogical skills, you explain content and context clearly, adapting to different individuals and perspectives. You have an inclusive pedagogical approach with high expectations. You are motivated by supporting others' learning and creating good conditions for knowledge development so that our students make progress. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement in the classroom. You thrive in teamwork and see the value of working together for students' best interests. You can also work independently and take initiatives that benefit the organization. Adult Education is constantly developing, and it requires you to be positive, engaged, and flexible.
