Your Assignment As a wood and metal crafts teacher, you will teach students in grades 3-6. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction in your subject based on the curriculum. You will follow up, assess, grade, and document students' knowledge development. The position may include shared mentorship. Teaching takes place in half-class groups in our well-equipped crafts rooms. You will introduce various techniques, teach students to sketch and plan their work, and support them throughout the entire work process - from idea to finished product. You will combine practical work with theoretical elements about materials, techniques, sustainability, recycling, and reuse. You will encourage students' creativity and provide space for their own ideas and expressions. As a crafts teacher, you will convey the importance and usability of the subject. You will work inclusively and adapt instruction to each student's needs, interests, and conditions. If necessary, you will implement additional adaptations to ensure all students have the opportunity to succeed. The role involves close collegial collaboration in both the high school team and grade-level teams. Three other crafts teachers work at the school. You will collaborate on students, planning, assessment, grading, and systematic quality work. Your Experience For this position, you must have: - Teaching certification with subject qualification in crafts for grades 3-6, specializing in wood and metal crafts - Good digital competence with experience using digital pedagogical tools - Excellent ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing It is meritorious if you also have: - Experience teaching wood and metal crafts - Subject qualification in another subject besides crafts - Experience working with students needing extra adaptations and special support Are You the One?
