About this role

The BMSL Foundation is a multilingual preschool and primary school that follows the Swedish curriculum. From the age of one to ninth grade, our students pass through the same gate here in central Lund. This provides security and continuity for students, teachers, and parents alike. Perhaps this explains why many students view the school as their second home. A sense of well-being and community is important to us. We strive to be the school that students look forward to attending—a place for explorers, researchers, and independent thinkers. For several years, our simple philosophy has contributed to us achieving some of Sweden's best academic results, and we have students who dare to be themselves. Currently, there are 44 children in preschool and 424 students in grades F-9. Educators and children/students come from various countries and diverse cultures. BMSL is a highly stimulating and dynamic workplace. In our program, children are exposed to English, French, and Swedish from the moment they start preschool until they leave primary school. We are now seeking a teacher for wood and metal crafts for grades 3-8. This position is a parental leave substitute at 45% during the spring term of 2026, starting on January 9 and ending on June 12. Responsibilities As a teacher in wood and metal crafts with us, you will: • Plan and implement instruction in wood and metal crafts for grades 3-8. • Create a safe and stimulating learning environment where students can develop their skills. • Assess and document students' progress and provide constructive feedback. • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school's teaching and contribute to positive school development. Qualifications Applicants should preferably have a teaching license in the craft subject. You are creative and pedagogical, with a strong desire to inspire and motivate students. You are flexible, responsible, and have a positive attitude. You have experience using modern pedagogical tools and methods and possess good collaboration skills, with experience working both in teams and independently. We offer • A stimulating and developing work environment where you have the opportunity to make a real difference in students' futures. • Collegial support and collaboration within an engaged team of professional colleagues. You can apply by sending your CV and a personal letter to Deputy Principal Anna Ekenstierna at [email protected]. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
